Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Old sand pit with an outcrop of sandstones alternating with claystones. Typical example of a turbidite sequence. Stratigraphically belongs to the Submenilitic Formation. Stratigraphically and sedimentologically interesting site.
Regional geologic unit: Carpathian - Flysch belt - Outer (Menilit-Krosněny) group of nappes
